“The STDs have literally carried the punk scene here on their backs for the past few years, and for that, they have my respect. True, they have been banned from nearly every venue in town. But before you label them as senseless nihilism and punk rebellion, maybe you should actually check out one of their shows. As a performance artist, there is none better than front man Jay Gray. He's brilliant in front of a crowd that loves him, and even better in front of a crowd that doesn't.”

FAN STORIES

STEVE ROHR:

"Knocking out Jay in the middle of an a frame show. I was kind of scared I thought I killed him."

ZACH BLACK:

"I remember exactly how J got knocked out at the A Frame. J was calling everyone outside a bunch of pussies that didn't want to get knocked around in a mosh pit. Cole Thennes opens the door and yells, "fuck you J!" And throws a full can of beer at J's head. He thought it was opened...Steve can claim to have tbagged J, but J regained consciousness fast enough to punch Steve in the balls."
